OpenFDA is an initiative that makes FDA datasets available to the public through a free API. It includes recall enforcement reports, adverse event reports (FAERS), drug labeling, and clinical trial information.

Patients and researchers can search the OpenFDA database for recalls of specific drugs, boxed warnings, safety label changes, and adverse event trends without filing FOIA requests.

Our Safety Hub uses OpenFDA data to let you search recalls and safety alerts. Use it to check whether your medication has recent safety actions, and share findings with your healthcare provider.
